NSW Seniors Week

SeniorsWeekGet out and Active! - NSW Seniors Week is the largest annual celebration of seniors in the southern hemisphere. Seniors are all those people over 60, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders over the age of 50, and people over 50 that have a lifelong disability. Every March during NSW Seniors Week, government, community and commercial organisations hold hundreds of free or discounted events across the state with the primary aim of providing seniors with opportunities to:
• be active and healthy;
• be independent; and
• be recognised for their community involvement

Throughout the week seniors access events relating to art, technology, entertainment, health, wellbeing, sport and much more with the 2015 NSW Seniors Week scheduled to be held Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 March. The Gunnedah community comes alive with a diverse array of activities designed specifically for the senior's community and for the young at heart.
